A native of Tampa, Florida, Maria Fabian is a former homeless youth who spent more than two months during her senior year of high school living in an abandoned apartment with no electricity or running water.

Since becoming the first member of her family to receive a high school diploma, Maria has been an advocate for the more than 1.3 million homeless youth living in America today.

She is the author of the memoir Invisible Innocence: my story a s a homeless youth and has dedicated  her  life  to the mission of using her gift as a storyteller to help both kids and adults realize that youth homelessness is a problem our community can no longer ignore.
